The Logan (ANC 2F), Dupont (ANC 2B) and Foggy Bottom (ANC 2A) Education Network together with the Logan Circle Community Association (LCCA) and the Dupont Circle Citizen Association (DCCA) will co-sponsor a community education forum this Saturday, September 21 from 10 am to 11:30 amat Luther Place Memorial Church at 1226 Vermont Avenue NW.

The meeting will begin with updates from the sponsor organizations followed by a brief conversation with Chris Magnuson, a curriculum consultant. LCCA received a grant from the DC Council on the Humanities to develop a companion curriculum for elementary school students to leverage the value of the Logan Circle Heritage Trail.  Chris will facilitate a discussion with parents on introducing children to the exciting history of Logan Circle from the Civil War to the present.

At 10:30am, Cardozo Education Campus Tanya Roane and Associate Principal Sah Brown and School Without Walls at Francis Stevens Associate Principal Benjamin Williams will join us for a discussion about our neighborhood middle schools.  There will be coffee, light breakfast fare, snacks for the kids.  Babysitters will be on hand to care for the kids in a separate playroom just steps from our meeting room.

Come out and meet your neighborhood school administrators, your elected representatives, neighborhood association leaders, fellow parents, neighbors, and community members!

Founded in 1922 in a townhouse at 1767 P Street, to promote and protect the interests of the residents, the Dupont Circle Citizens Association (DCCA) is the premier civic and residential organization in the Dupont Circle area.  DCCA brings neighbors, including residents, businesses and non-profit organizations, together to improve the quality of life in an active and diverse urban neighborhood. It holds membership meetings nine times each year, which are open to the public, organizes the Dupont Circle House Tour, resolves neighborhood issues through its committees, donates to local causes, and incubates innovative projects.
