First Friday Art Walk in Dupont Circle - Friday, January 6, 2017

Happy New Year! It is First Friday Art Walk in Dupont Circle this January 6!   Galleries, retailers, and historic houses will be open from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. for the First Friday art walk - a fun and social way to explore the arts in Dupont Circle.  Visit www.firstfridaydupont.org. 

 

Hillyer Art Space is featuring three new artists in 2017 with Heather Clark, Stephen Dolbin, and Sarah West.  Hillyer Art Space is one of Dupont's largest galleries showcasing emerging artists from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.  Hillyer Art Space is located at 9 Hillyer Court, NW (behind the Phillips Collection - through the alley).  Visit www.hillyerartspace.org.

 

Q Street Fine Art is pleased to be welcoming the New Year 2017 by featuring new artwork by Rafael Gallardo, some of which are new smaller pieces with interesting configurations, flowers, and lovely color combinations.  A new local artist, Eric Gabriel, will show two of his framed and pen and color ink drawings.  Come celebrate a wonderful year 2016 and a NEW YEAR 2017 hosted by gallery owner Barbara Bennett.  The Q Street Fine Art is located at 2015 Q Street, NW. R Space Collection is a new and innovative venue created to promote, spread, and preserve local and international art of all genres. The art experience will be accompanied by musical entertainment from selector sets to live jazz. This venue is the perfect place for all art lovers to meet and mingle. Studio Gallery's first show of 2017 features two local artist collectives. Washington Wax Works focuses on encaustic pictures. Founded in 1922 in a townhouse at 1767 P Street, to promote and protect the interests of the residents, the Dupont Circle Citizens Association (DCCA) is the premier civic and residential organization in the Dupont Circle area.

DCCA brings neighbors, including residents, businesses and non-profit organizations, together to improve the quality of life in an active and diverse urban neighborhood.
