Ross Elementary School's Annual Mother's & Father's Day Book Drive

Ross Elementary will be holding their Annual Mother's & Father's Day Book Drive event at the following locations:

Sunday, April 26: Dupont Farmers’ Market, 20th Street NW Between Massachusetts & Connecticut Avenue 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Monday, April 27: On the Ross playground, 1730 R Street NW 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Donate $25 to purchase a book for Ross Elementary School in the name of a loved one or favorite teacher. The Ross PTA sends the honoree a letter informing of the gift in their name; a bookplate inscribed with the donor and honoree's names is placed in a book purchased for the Ross library; and Ross students enjoy quality literature for years to come - a win for everyone!

Letters to honorees will arrive by Mother's Day (May 10th), Father's Day (June 14) or somewhere in between (for General Book Donations). All funds raised are used to purchase books for Ross. Last year, this event raised over $7,000 to buy books!

Founded in 1922 in a townhouse at 1767 P Street, to promote and protect the interests of the residents, the Dupont Circle Citizens Association (DCCA) is the premier civic and residential organization in the Dupont Circle area.

DCCA brings neighbors, including residents, businesses and non-profit organizations, together to improve the quality of life in an active and diverse urban neighborhood. It holds membership meetings 9 times each year, which are open to the public, runs the Dupont Circle House Tour, resolves neighborhood issues through its committees, donates to local causes, and incubates innovative projects.
